Cooling down at Hobing

A weekend out with the family is not complete if we do not have our just desserts. After a hearty meal at Ippudo we got our just desserts at Hobing. The place was packed but lucky enough we were seated quickly. This is the first time that I would try Bingsu and I do not have any idea how it is presented. But seeing what it was for the other tables, I was glad that my wife ordered just one. Not that I don't like shaved ice desserts, it's just that I did not know what to expect. When I saw the order of a table beside us came, I was just like "ooohhhh yummy". So when ours came, I just said to myself, "Let's get this started.".

The ice was so flaky that it did not feel like you are eating ice as the milk and the syrup easily blends with the ice. You can't help to eat it fast, not because it will melt, but because you just want to have more. And when you eat it very fast, prepare yourself for that mind numbing brain freeze.

While we are enjoying ourselves, I noticed people are coming and going from this place. Some even had to wait before they got to be seated. I guess we were really lucky to get seated quickly. I could just imagine a queue during lunch times weekend when lots of people would want to have their cold desserts.

I will try the other items when I get the chance to be in the area again. For now, I would have to try that bingsu place in SM Southmall.
